Why You Should Be Using Kroger Pick-Up For Your Groceries

When you go grocery shopping, how do you make your list? How do you ensure you get everything you need? Do you even make a list when you go grocery shopping anymore? Have you ever thought about how you shop when you go to the grocery store?

I’m one of “those people” who go up and down every aisle of the store with my list that’s organized by the aisle/general area of an item. I organize my list by categories such as “fruits, veggies, non-perishable, and dairy.” I usually start walking through the store on the left all the way to the right and despite my list, I still have to walk up and down every single aisle. The funny part? Even with my overly organized list and hyper-focus, I still buy extra stuff that is not on my list! Or even worse, I buy extras and still forget something important on my list like almond milk for cereal!

How do I avoid this? Is there even a hack for that? Yes! While this might not be a life hack for you, it certainly is for me and it’s saved me hundreds of dollars if not more, and who even knows how much time! PLUS, I get to shop from the comfort of my own home! I don’t have to fight any old ladies in the parking lot, worry about bumping into my boss when I’m supposed to be sick, etc.!

I like to start by making my list of what I need by walking around the house making sure I don't miss anything random like batteries or lightbulbs. I then like to go through all the coupons! I clip coupons I need and coupons for all my favorite brands in case they go past the timeline I need my groceries (they usually do) and definitely, clip that fuel points coupon (if you know, you know). With the app you can also shop by coupon- say you have a Kellogg’s $5 off coupon, you can click on it and all the applicable items pop up right at your fingertips! This way you can save even more on the brands and items you were already planning to buy! Another perk? It keeps track of your regular purchases so most of the time you don’t have to search for a lot of the groceries you need because they’ll pop up first.

Now is when I like to go through my list and make sure I have everything in my cart, once I know I have it all, I check my calendar for a reasonable pickup time, and I’m done! I don’t have to worry about buying all the extras I don’t need, and I know I’m automatically saving and getting points! It’s literally that easy! Now all I have to do is show up, pick up my items, and hope they don’t judge me for how dirty my car is! Think about all the time and stress you’ll save yourself (and your spouse/family) around the holidays! You can go over everything you need to bake your cookies and that spiral ham your husband loves and not have to worry about forgetting something. Now you don’t have to sweat whether or not you remembered to grab vanilla, it’ll be in your trunk tomorrow at 3pm!

As someone who is a bit of a shopaholic with ADHD, I usually have my husband go through my list a third time to make sure I didn’t sneak any extras in that we wouldn’t go through.
